The Niagara Region is steeped in history, and I dove right in on my latest trip. First stop: Fort George in Niagara-on-the-Lake, where musket demos and restored barracks brought the War of 1812 to life.

I wandered the quaint streets of Old Town next, popping into The Olde Angel Inn for a pint and some hearty pub fare – the cozy vibe was unbeatable. Then, I headed to Queenston Heights Park, climbing Brock’s Monument for panoramic views of the river and beyond.

My day ended with a sweet treat at Cows Ice Cream in Niagara Falls – their “Moo York City” flavor was a creamy delight. From historic forts to charming towns, Niagara’s past and present blend beautifully!
