Two Halton cop cars hit by stolen vehicle during pursuit; pair facing charges

Yesterday (Thursday, Jan. 16), at approximately 10:40 p.m. as part of an ongoing investigation, officers with the HRPS located a stolen Toyota 4Runner on Parkdale Avenue North in the City of Hamilton. As officers attempted to stop the stolen vehicle it fled colliding with two HRPS vehicles.
The stolen vehicle continued north on Main Street where it lost control at Strathearne Ave. A male driver and female passenger then fled on foot. The male was apprehended a short distance away with the female taken into custody by officers a short time later with the assistance of the Hamilton Police Service. No further suspects are being sought.
