Santa Claus is coming to town on Sunday, Dec. 1, for Burlington’s annual Santa Claus Parade, though he’ll be taking a different route from previous years due to construction.
The parade will start at Drury Lane near Burlington Central Library at 2 p.m. and follow New Street and James Street towards Brant Street. It will turn right onto Brant Street and finish at the intersection of Blairholme Avenue and Brant street.
The route is also shorter than it has been in previous years, a change that the city said has been requested by residents.
Locals are encouraged to bring cash or non-perishable food donations to the parade, as the Burlington Teen Tour Boosters will be collecting for the Burlington Food Bank and the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club will collect cash donations on behalf of the parade organizing committee.
