Ontario election night was a nail biter in Burlington.
Unofficial results had Progressive Conservative incumbent Natalie Pierre winning by just 40 votes over Liberal candidate Andrea Grebenc with the final poll reporting at 12:50 a.m. Friday morning.
According to Elections Ontario unofficial results, Pierre had 24,118 votes and Grebenc had 24,078.
Pierre addressed her volunteers and supporters at 11:40 p.m., while holding a 345 vote lead and awaiting results from the final three polls.
“Our government still has a majority. We’re ahead. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve the people of Burlington,” Pierre said, thanking those still gathered at her campaign office.
