Halton police had a busy week with multiple robberies reported in Oakville and Burlington, most involving weapons.
Attempted jewelry store robbery
Police are looking for three suspects following an attempted robbery, which occurred at an Oakville jewelry store on Wednesday, March 19.
At 12:40 p.m., a man and a woman entered Oakville Jewelry at 255 Lakeshore Rd. E., and used a hammer to smash various display cases, said Dillon.
A second male suspect was seen holding the door for the other two.
“One adult male employee was struck in the shoulder area with a hammer resulting in a minor physical injury,” said Dillon.
Police said employees intervened and no jewelry was stolen.
The suspects were seen leaving the area in a black Nissan Altima; however, this vehicle was later found abandoned in the Lakeshore and Trafalgar roads area.
Police said the vehicle had been reported stolen in Peel region.
