What started as a viral challenge quickly became one of the most-watched golf stunts on the internet this summer.
The Nelk Boys, a YouTube group originally founded in Mississauga, Ontario, turned heads and shut down part of Calgary’s Heritage Pointe Golf Course for over 56 hours in a bold attempt to do one thing: sink a hole-in-one on a 155-yard shot.
The event, streamed live on Kick, captivated a steady audience of 20,000–30,000 viewers at any given time over three days. The goal? Keep swinging until one of them hit the shot of a lifetime.
What followed was a mix of relentless persistence, bro camaraderie, and peak internet entertainment. Kyle Forgeard, Nelk’s co-founder and the face of the brand, finally made it happen 57 hours in, sending the ball clean into the cup. The moment was instantly iconic—cheers, champagne, and even a few emotional tears from the team and crew.
The full roster included Cheddy, Salim, Steiny, and internet personality Bob Menery, who was flown in as backup on Day 2 to help break the curse. But it was Kyle who pulled it off, delivering a moment that fans are already calling one of Nelk’s greatest ever.
While the group is now mostly based out of Miami, the roots of Nelk run deep in Ontario—and this stunt proves they haven’t lost their Canadian flair for the dramatic.
